Willie Elmore Summers, Jr. better known as "Jingle Bell" was born July 28, 1943 in Guilford County, NC to Willie Elmore Summers, Sr. and Hilda Troxler Summers Moore. He transitioned from this life to life eternal on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
"Jingle Bell" was raised in Gibsonville, NC and was a graduate of Sedalia High School. Following graduation, he worked for several years as a Brick Mason and an Assembly Line Worker. He was a member of Elon First Baptist Church where he found joy in serving on the Ushers Ministry. His famous quote was "easy, easy", which reminds us to take life easy.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his sons: Tony Summers (Priscilla) of Graham, NC, Timothy Summers (Edita) of Burlington, NC and Garland Turner Summers (Denise) of Greensboro, NC; siblings: Mrs. Wilma Weeks (Eugene) of Raleigh, NC, Clifton A. Summers (companion Geneva) and Joyce Harris all of Gibsonville, NC as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Summers; brother: Ray Allen Summers and step-brothers: Leonard Moore and James Edward Moore.
