Mr. Willie Allison Jr. was born June 2, 1950, in Chapel Hill, NC, to the late Mallie Corbett Allison and Willie Benjamin Allison.
Mr. Willie was a 1968 graduate of Orange High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina. He enjoyed working with his hands and started Allison’s Concrete Works. He took pride in building sidewalks, driveways, basements, woodwork, and other Bobcat Work. He always paid excellent attention to detail. His company tag line was, “You’ve Tried the Rest, Now Try the Best!”
Mr. Willie was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening (food and flowers), collecting Mercedes, and rode Harley Davidson’s in his younger days. He enjoyed having a good laugh, traveling to visit his bonus children, and took pride in cooking at family functions – fish, chicken, and his famous mac and cheese. He was a member of White Cross AME Church in Efland, NC.
Mr. Willie is survived by his wife, the Rev. Dorothy Warren Allison; bonus children, Ronnie Warren and Artrina Richmond, Burlington, NC, Miranda Brown, Orlando, FL, Dr. Kit Ford (Rev. Dwight Ford), Davenport, IA, and Bobbi Ruffin, Mebane, NC; thirteen bonus grandchildren; six bonus great-grandchildren; sister, Sennie Moore (Ernest), Brothers; Joe Allison (Yvette), Harvey Allison (Eleanor), all of Chapel Hill, NC, Leroy Allison (Deborah), Efland, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and close business associates.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Benjamin Allison; and mother, Mallie Corbett Allison.
Willie was a godly man who the Lord chose to be a part of our lives. A husband, brother, father, papa, brother-in-law, entrepreneur, and friend.
