William Howard

William Howard 76, of Burlington North Carolina, departed this life on September 5, 2020, while at the Alamance Caswell & Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro.

William was born in Charlottesville, VA on December 20th, 1944.  He was the son of the late Catherine E. Jones. William loved traveling, watching sports and listening to music. When relaxing at home he loved watching old westerns movies on TV.   

 He was preceded in death by His precious grandmother Estelle Howard, one brother Michael Jones, one sister Doris Mae Jones Wells. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted companion Faye Pinnix of  Burlington North Carolina, a daughter Melinda (Brock) Winfrey of Fishersville VA, two sons Williams (Melissa) Howard of Buckingham VA, and Kenneth Howard of Winston Salem, 6 grandchildren, Jamel Smith, Justice Howard, Drequen Scott, Delante Howard, Delondre Howard, Destiny Howard, five brothers Gordon Jones Sr.(Reba) of Charlottesville VA, George Jones, Bobby Jones, Jesse Jones all of Louisa Virginia, Richard Jones of Charlottesville VA and a host of nieces and nephews.

He lived his life to the fullest.  He retired from Carl Norris construction company, where he traveled with this company for long over 35 or more years. He attended Gant Town Baptist when his health permitted.  He sang on the male choir. Most of all he loved the Lord.
