Willard Albert Jones, Sr.

Mr. Willard Albert Jones Sr. of Miles Chapel Rd. Mebane transitioned peacefully on Saturday September 24, 2022 in Arizona while visiting with the apple of his eye, his daughter, Adrienne.  Mr. Willard was born in Orange County NC to Mr. William Jones and Mrs. Ruby Wade Jones.

Mr. Willard was educated in the Orange County School System after graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably.  Professionally he was a A1 Certified Diesel Mechanic.  Mr. Williard was married to the love of his life Mrs. Martha Paylor Jones for 61 years until her death in 2020.  He was a faithful member of Miles Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

The life, labor and legacy of Mr. Willard Albert Jones Sr. will be forever cherished by his daughter, Adrienne J. Taylor (Kerry); two grandchildren, Kerry Taylor Jr. and Tory Taylor (Sara); three great grandchildren, Gwenevieve Taylor, Ewalena Taylor and Cecelia Taylor; one sister, Agnes Teel (Harry), many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son, Willard A. Jones, Jr.; siblings, Rufus "Bo" Jones, Cephus E. Jones, Rosa Mae Jones Farrish, Jeanette J. Parker and Bernice Jones.
