Live - Every moment

Ms. Wanda Lee Sellars believed that time stands still for no one.  Wanda transitioned peacefully from labor to reward on August 15, 2023 at her home with her family lovingly by her side.  She was born to the late Lawrence William Sellars and Milther Baynes Sellars on September 8, 1958.

Laugh - Everyday

Wanda understood that laughter and friendship was food for the soul. She received Christ at an early age and was a member of the Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  Wanda supported the church through her giving in many ways and participation with events.

She was educated in the Caswell County School system and graduated from Bartlett Yancey Senior High School.  She has remained close friends with her classmate Sandra Williamson McAdams.  

Wanda’s professional career included being a dedicated employee at Brown Wooten Mills where she has remained close friends with Leslie Hawkins.  She was most recently an employee at Walmart in Burlington, NC for more than 25 years.  She was known to be a mentor to her co-workers and compassionate to customers.  

Love - with all your heart

Wanda demonstrated that love of family was the key to happiness.  She is survived by her seven siblings whom she loved beyond words.  William Noway Sellars of the home, whom she loving took on the role of caring for;  Anthony Sellars (Valerie) of Burlington, NC; Jennifer Graves of Greensboro, NC; Valerie Denise Sellars of Burlington, NC; Ora Laverne Sellars of Newark, NJ; Darlene Washington of Newark, NJ, and Elaine Sellars-White (Warren) of El Paso, TX.  She also affectionately loved her six nephews -  James Pinnix, III of Greensboro, NC; Jarrel Wilson of Burlington, NC; Kellen Wilson (Deanna) of Bloomingfield, NJ;  Justin Washington of Newark, NJ;  Deven Wilson of Burlington, NC; and Anthony Victor Sellars of Burlington, NC.  Wanda also loved a host of grand nephews and nieces, cousins and two aunts Mary Ruth Baynes of Burlington, NC; and Roberta Baynes of Orange, NJ.
