Obituary
Ms. Veronica Denise Graves Rogers Poteat 64, transitioned on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Cone Health - Alamance Regional Hospital. She was born to John Wesley Graves and Mary Magdalene Johnson Harris on October 30, 1958 in Alamance County.
She dedicated her life to the Lord and served as a Missionary with New Covenant United Holy Church in Burlington, NC. In her spare time she loved to bowl and was a dedicated UNC Tarheels Fan and a Carolina Panthers fan. She was her children's and grandchildren's biggest fan and supporter. She dedicated a lot of her time and energy working in the concession stands to support whatever event they participated in. She also served as the President of the Band Boosters Association.
Veronica is survived by her sons, Germal T. Rogers (LaShonna), Jordan Swann (Alyssa); brother, Finley R. Graves (Corene); sisters Karen M. Graves, Debbie Russell; grandchildren, Suvear Rogers, Kinston Rogers, Kyro Rogers, Journey Swann, Maverick Swann along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Wesley Graves,; brothers, Larry W. Johnson and Steven B. Graves.
