Vance William Isley, Sr.

Vance William Isley, Sr., was born in Alamance County to Vance Hubert Isley and Edna Mae Walker Isley.  Vance had a 20year, three month and one day career with the United States Army.  During is hitch he served in Vietnam for two years receiving the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with a Gold Star.  Following his retirement, he began working the United States Postal Service, where he worked for 14 years and retired.  

Vance was a member of Green Level Christian Church for many years.  He was a quiet person…until he got to know you.  He enjoyed sitting on his porch and rocking in his favorite chair.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.  

Remembering his life are: his children: Vance Isley, Jr., Denise Isley and Vanetta Isley; two sisters: Rita Lynch and Linda Tinnin; a host of grandchildren as well as many dear relatives and friends.
