God's servant answered the ultimate call on Saturday evening, November 13, 2021 while surrounded by those he loved and loved him. He was born to Walter Richmond and Nancy Jane Wade Richmond in Caswell County, North Carolina on October 18, 1941. He was a 1960 graduate of Pleasant Grove Union High School. He married the love of his life Dorothy Sellars Richmond in 1961. They shared an inseparable love for over 60 years. He was the owner and operator of Richmond Trucking for several years.
He professed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church. After much prayer and fasting, he accepted the call into the Gospel Ministry and was the pastor of Smith's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for over 25 years and was the founder of Allred New Mission Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, good gospel music, a little farming, good food and fellowship. He was truly a servant at heart who will be missed by his family, congregation and many dear friends.
He leaves his loving memory and fervent prayers to his devoted and faithful wife Dorothy S. Richmond "Doris"; two children: Jimmie R.
