Obituary
Ms. Shirley Mae Tate, 77 of Mebane NC transitioned peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Peak Resourses of Alamance in Graham, NC. Shirley was born to William Edward Tate and Mildred Chavis Tate on November 23, 1945 in Alamance County.
She was a faithful member of Belview Baptist Church in Burlington, NC where she taught Sunday school and faithfully attended Bible study. During her quiet time you could find her reading and studying her bible or spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her loving and devoted son Connell Tate and his wife Patricia; brother Lee Tate; sisters, Bessie Boswell (twin sister), Peggy Murdock, Faye Tate; one grandchild Spencer Smith, sister in law Brenda Tate, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents William and Mildred Tate; brothers, John William Tate, Kenneth Tate; sisters, Marie Cheeks, Louise Herbin and Margie Snell.
