Sarah Lucinda Mebane

Ms. Sarah Lucinda Mebane of Glen Raven was summoned to be with the Lord on April 25, 2021. She was born on February 3, 1938 to the late Herbert Mebane and Lilly Mae Hazel Mebane. She was the youngest of 11 children born to the late Herbert Mebane and Lilly Mae Hazel Mebane. Lucinda was a member of Glen Raven First Baptist Church for many years and was a High School Graduate of Jordan Sellers, Class of 1959.  She was a devout employee of Carolina Biological of Burlington for over 30 years. Those that knew her, remember her extensive doll collection and love for shopping. 

Lucinda was preceded in death by her six sisters Collene Burnette, Alice Liggins, Polly Walker, Tessie Bell, Lois Gerringer, and Christine Maynard; four brothers James Mebane, Karo Mebane, Monroe Mebane, and Bill Mebane; one son Antonio Raiford and one daughter Ava Darlene Mebane; and one grandson Antwain Raiford.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Denise Raiford of Burlington, NC and son Dwayne Raiford of Maryland; two granddaughters Tina Jones of Burlington, NC and Tasha Mebane of Mebane, NC; two great-grandchildren: Karizma Mebane and Phoenix Brown both of Mebane, N.C.
