Sandy Wayne Griffis

Mr. Sandy Wayne Griffis was born to Sandy Kermit Griffis, Sr. and Myrtle Johnson Griffis in Alamance County, North Carolina.  He was a decorated Air Force Veteran for over 20 years.  He was a devoted and dedicated member of Queen's Chapel AME where he served as  Steward, Class Leader, Male Chorus  and a past member of the Senior Choir.  

He leaves loving and lasting memories to his two children: Eric Dwayne Griffis and Cynthia Zamora Chandler (Fred); ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six sisters Elaine G. Mentzy, Linda G. Williamson(Jackie), Kay W. Griffis, Jacqueline Griffis, Blondine G. McAdams and Vanessa G. Packingham(Graves); four aunts Una Mae G. Oliver, Flora Griffis, Eleanor Johnson Morrow (Benjamin, Sr.) and Maxine Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Ramona Griffis and Carrie Griffis as well as nieces and nephews other relatives and dear friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Clara Stanfield Griffis and three siblings: Sandy Kermit Griffis Jr., Eula G. Tinnin and Lester Jackson "Jackie" Griffis.
