Rufus Engram Roberson was born on August 1, 1973 in Orange County, North Carolina to Curnelia Rejoyce Roberson and the late Ernest Rufus "Big Man" Harrelson. As his life was devoted to serving others, Rufus passed away, helping someone in need on September 9, 2023. Rufus was a 1993 graduate of Graham High School and was a life-long member of Warren's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He served faithfully with the Usher Board and used his God given talent of singing with the various choirs of the church.
Rufus truly had the heart of a servant, which God calls all of us to be. He was known to help his neighbors and relatives with any task, large or small. He was known for his larger than life personality and deep laughter. It goes without mentioning, Rufus loved a good meal and, boy could he eat. While his passing leaves a void, we trust that God will in His time mend all of our broken hearts.
He leaves loving memories to his loving mother: Curnelia Rejoyce Roberson; siblings: Bridget A. Graves (Chris) of Pleasant Grove, Patrick S. Roberson, Sr. (Bennette) of Winston-Salem, Dexter Roberson of the home, Rufus "Poot" Harrelson of Pleasant Grove,Minx Demaxzmohr Flinthal of Burlington, Chris Harris (Loretta) of Burlington, Stephanie "Dawn" Bigelow of Texas, Maurice Bigelow (Krystal) of Roxboro, Elton "Dude" Bailey (Sherrie) of Graham, Joel Bailey, Burlington, Bryant Bailey (Nadia) of Greensboro, Aaron Bailey of Virginia as well a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and dear loving friends.
