Roger Lee Jeffries

Roger Lee Jeffries was born to Charlie Wesley Jeffries and Zetie Parker Jeffries "Sadie" on August 23, 1935.  He peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 3, 2022.  He was a 1953 graduate of Pleasant Grove Union High School.  He was married to his loving and devoted wife, Lucy Frances Jeffries and this union was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Janice.  He was gainfully employed with General Electric EEMC for a number of years.  Spiritually, he was a member of Jeffries Cross Baptist Church where he served with the Usher's Ministry and the Transportation Ministry.  Roger LOVED his family and especially traveling all over the world. In his times of leisure, when he wasn't talking and making new friends, he could be found somewhere fishing, looking for his next big catch.  He loved vehicles, especially race cars and NASCAR.  He grew a great love for NC State and loved to watch television programs.  He was loved and cherished by his family and friends.  

He leaves loving memories to his devoted and loving wife of 64 years: Lucy J. Jeffries; their only daughter Janice J. Singletary and her husband Reggie; his two adoring grandchildren: Reggie Singletary, II and Lacey Singletary; sister: Isabella J. Jeffries (Benny) as well as a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. It goes without mentioning that Roger will be missed by his best buddy Betty. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Carl Jeffries, Walter Jeffries, Pauline Jeffries and Kathleen J. McPherson.
