On Monday November 28th God in his infinite wisdom gently lowered the eyes on our beloved Roberta Poteat Rembert. Roberta was born on September 30, 1932 to Mandy Poteat in Caswell County. Later moving to Alamance County, she received her formal education in the Alamance/Burlington School System.
Roberta relocated to New York and then on to Connecticut, where she retired from her Dietician position at Park City Hospital, after many years of dedicated service. After retirement she relocated back to her hometown of Burlington.
Roberta was a member of First Baptist Church, on Apple St. in Burlington, where she served in many capacities. She was an unwavering Usher, Missionary, and a part of the Senior ministries. Prior to moving to Burlington, she was a member of Messiah Baptist Church in Bridgeport Connecticut. She was an avid reader, lover of pork rinds and definitely knew her way around the kitchen, and she loved to travel.
Her life and Legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her loving husband, William Rembert Jr., her son Christol K. Morgan (Yolanda), her daughter Glenda M. Brown (Kevin Sr.), her son William Ronell Rembert (Renee), and her son Stanford Rembert (Carlette), with a host of grandchildren, great grands, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, longtime friend, Marie Lee and many other relatives and friends.
Roberta was preceded in death by her mother Mandy Poteat, her late husband Kime G. Morgan Jr., her daughter Veronica A. Hunter, her son Kime W. Morgan, her sister Frances E. Swift, her brother Thomas Poteat, and her granddaughters Monesa G. Brown, and Sharonda N. Rembert, as well as her very special Uncle who treated her as if she was his own Charlie Poteat.
