On Sunday, June 28th 2020, at 11:23 in the morning Mr. Robert Nathanial McNeil, 64, affectionately known as “Bob” surrounded by family, departed from this natural world and entered internal peace with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bob was born Wednesday, September 14th 1955 in Alamance County, NC to his loving parents: Gracie Bell Cain McAdams and James Monroe McAdams, both now deceased.
During the early years Bob was educated in the Alamance-Burlington School System where he found his love for basketball. He was a star player for Eastern Alamance High School. His love for basketball continued into adulthood as a die-hard Carolina Tar Heel fan. Bob never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. One would also remember how clean he dressed, from head to toe. No matter what he drove, the car was clean as a pin. Bob was a sharp fella. Bob was an active member of New Pentecostal Holiness Church; faithfully attending and working on the trustee board until his health declined.
Bob leaves to cherish his precious memories, his children: Christie Graves, Katarsha McNeil, Robert “Black Rob” McNeil, Bridgette “Kizzy” Evans, Darrick McNeil, Robert “Roc” Wiley, Kimberly Calvey, Robert “Devon” McNeil, Michelle “Chelle” McNeil, Jerome McNeil, and Bob “lil Bob” McNeil; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. One brother: Tommy (Sandy) McAdams, five sisters: Mary Douglas, Emma (Jimmy) Southern, Lois (Jay Francis) McAdams, Pearley Davis, and Mildred Flintall, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
