Robert Rickey Hester

Mr. Robert Rickey Hester was born in Alamance County to William Hester, Sr. and Eljay Boseman Hester on May 24, 1944.  He passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021 while he was being cared for by the staff of Golden Years Assisted Living of Burlington.  He was a graduate of Central High School, Graham, North Carolina.  For over 40 years, he was employed as a Longshoreman.  

He is survived by his children: Robert Hester and Shantera Thomas; two siblings: John Hester and Faye Taylor; granddaughter: Isis Taylor; sister-in-law: Rev. L.M. Hester as well as several nieces and nephews other relatives and dear friends. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: William Hester, Jr. and Larry Hester.
