Mrs. Piccola Alston Patterson, 83, exchanged time for eternity on June 25, 2020.
Piccola Alston Patterson “Pete” was born to the late Rev. Albert T. Alston and the late Flora Bell Stokes Alston on October 16, 1936, in Angier, North Carolina. She served as an educator with the Burlington City School System. She was also employed with Western Electric, Sears Department Store, and The City of Burlington’s Department of Parks and Recreation.
Piccola Alston Patterson was a loving and dedicated wife to Hurley Patterson Jr. who also preceded her in death. From this union were born two children, Chauncey Siegfried Patterson, Cedric Conrad Patterson; god-daughter, Deborah Marie Pettiford (Rev. McArthur); she also leaves to cherish her memory two siblings: Thelvis James Alston, Sr. (Alma) and Flora Madeline Alston-Brown and sister-in-law: Emma Marie Curry Alston and several nieces and nephews other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Albert T. Alston Jr., William “Stubby” Alston, Edward Leon Alston, Rev. Charles Emanuel Alston, Sr., Mildred Marie Alston-Foster and Lottie Sylvia Alston.
