Pauline Enoch Hazel was born to Walter James Enoch and Mary Moore Enoch in Alamance County on December 29, 1925. She was a knitter with Burlington Socks and later was employed with the Burlington School System as Cafeteria worker. She married the love of her life, Charles Jackson Hazel in 1946 and this love lasted until his passing in 1980.
Pauline was dedicated to her family and was the person everyone relied on for support, guidance and love. Of her 9 siblings, she was the only one who stayed true to her Burlington roots and never left. Her home was home to all and was always one of the first places everyone called and visited. She cared for her Mom in her final days and for most of her siblings and their spouses, for many years. It didn't matter whether they were here in Burlington or in far away places. She was a dependable, dedicated, and God-loving woman who we will all miss dearly.
Pauline leaves to cherish her memories her son Harold Hazel; one sister Carrie Bridges (Ted) along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Jack” Hazel; her parents: Walter and Mary Moore Enoch; four brothers: John Enoch, Walter Enoch, Eddie Enoch and Al- bert Enoch; four sisters: Vernice Chandler, Ruth Lewis, Lillie Carr and Minnie Mebane.
