Pattie Sue Farrington was born July 20, 1953 to Earnest Farrington and Doris Mura Woods Farrington. She was the fourth child born to this union. Pattie entered into eternal peace at the age of 66 on March 8, 2020 at her home. Pattie or Pat as she was affectionally called, was a mother to all even though she had no biological children of her own. She helped to raise and take care of every child that was born into the immediate family and she was a babysitter to others. She cared for each and every one of her family members and loved them unconditionally.
Pattie attended Alamance County Schools graduating from Southern Alamance High School in 1971. After her high school graduation she began employment at Burlington Handbags in Elon, North Carolina and then Honda Power Equipment in Swepsonville, North Carolina where she retired in 2014. In 2012 she graduated from Colorado Technical University with an Associates Degree in Business Administration; one of the proudest moments in her life.
Pattie was a member of Melfield United Church of Christ where she served in the choir, on the Social Committee (President), Missionary Circle and Pastor's Aide. She loved to cook and bake cakes for everyone; a true passion of hers.
Pattie leaves to cherish her memory her sisters: Mary Farrington of the home; Phyllis Wilson, Sandra Worth, Ernestine Torain and brother Ronnie Farrington; the loves of her life: Alex, Morgan, Sidnee, Drew, Kobe, Kristie, April, Brian, Nicholas, Angela, Veronica, Dennis, Stephanie, Terrance, Jaylin, Ernest Alexander, Makenzie, Elias and a special one Skylar Jacobs as well as several cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her uncles: Willie Woods, Joseph Woods, Jennings Woods, Herbert Woods, Brodie Farrington and aunts: Willie Garrett, Jessie Caldwell, Frances Bruce, Bernice Lambert, Paulette Minor, Ruth Worth, Roxie Foust and Marie Hester.
