Nancy Ann (Chavis) Maynard

A beautiful flower blossomed in the person of Nancy Ann Chavis Maynaryd in Alamance County to Larry Curtis Chavis, Sr. and Jessamine Stone Chavis on November 22, 1950.  Her beauty and fragrance were enhanced as she was a student within the Alamance Burlington School System and was a 1969 graduate of Graham High School.  She shared her beauty with her co-workers and GKN where she worked tirelessly for many years.  Each and every Sunday she allowed her beauty and fragrance to be renewed as she worshiped at her beloved Ebenezer United Church of Christ.  She was loving and kind and every way.  While some would say she had a disability due to her illness, however until she was unable, Nancy Ann was not disabled, she was enabled to help and assist anyone that she could.  She was a true Missionary.  

She leaves in God's care: two sons: Cedrick Lamont Chavis and Rodney Dewong Maynard; five grandchildren; three siblings: Linda Catherine Chavis, Daniel Chavis and Mark Chavis as well as several nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.  

She was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother: Larry Chavis, Jr.
