Mr. Tom Haith Obituary

Thomas Lathan Haith was born September 30, 1938 in Alamance County, North Carolina to Leroy “Bud” Haith and Mable Miles Haith.  Following a period of declining health, he exchanged time for eternity on September 24, 2021 at his home.

He was a graduate of Graham High School.  Before Tom graduated he began working with Huey’s Restaurant. His hard work and determination led to a career which spanned over 40 years.  Tom’s personality was a natural fit for the industry; always smiling, always happy and always aiming to please people.  He used his talents also at Stadler’s Country Ham’s, Graham Meats and Elon College.

Tom was a dedicated member of St. Matthew’s African Methodist Episcopal Church.  He served faithfully with the Sons of Allen, Board of Trustees and the Hospitality Committee.  Tom loved to golf and always could be found cooking something delicious to eat.  He was married to Daisy M. Haith who shared a love and laughter until they were separated by death.

He leaves loving and lasting memories to his five children: Yvette Slade (Donald), Lisa Haith, Tanya Haith, Robin “Tina” Warren-Bowden and Richard “Tiny” Haith (Ava); eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Roy “Chick” Haith, Roger Lee Haith and Elsie M. Haith.
