Monroe Day

Mr. Monroe Day age 89 of Burlington, NC transitioned on November 17, 2023 at Cone Health ARMC after an extended illness.  Mr. Day was born July 28, 1934 in Alamance County to the late Mr. Will Sterling Day and Mrs. Mary Bell Baynes Day.  Mr. Daye was married to the late Mrs. Martha Graves Day.  He served his country faithfully for 23 years in the United States Army.

His life will be forever remembered by his daughter, Cecelia Allen (Harry), brothers, Joe Day and Alfred Maynard Day (Sandra), sister, Ida Mae Day Scales, four grandchildren, Jazmine, Bryan, Marcus and Angela; 7 great grandchildren; 3 step children, Belinda Burnette (Bill), Julies Lea (Crystal) and Lawanner "Wanda" Lea and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Day, his son, James Monroe Day and siblings, John William Day and Ralph Maynard Day.
