Obituary
Mrs. Mazie Jones Riley 86, of Mebane, NC transitioned peacefully in her home on November 3, 2022. Mazie was born June 24, 1936, to the late John Frank and Helen Moore Jones. She was a 1954 graduate of Central High School. A devoted and faithful member of Hunter's Chapel A.M.E Church. During her membership she served as a faithful missionary, usher and sang with the Senior Choir.
She was known for helping people and giving what she could. She was a TRUE missionary. She would always visit the sick when she was sick herself.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Jennifer Riley Terrell; granddaughter Letitia A. Riley, grandson, Cortez O. Terrell (Lasharia); great grandson, Sincere Hanner; great granddaughter, Mia Ashlynn Terrell. One sister Helen Marie Johnson and one brother Robert E. Jones. Three sisters-in-law, Edna Mae Jones, Janet Jones and Hilda Jones along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brodie Thomas Riley Sr., son, Brodie Thomas Riley Jr.; brothers, Lacy R. Jones, Nathaniel Jones, John Jones III, Charles Jones, Percel Jones, Frederick Jones and Benjamin Jones. Two sisters Mozell Jones Tate and Robbie Jones Coble. One son-in-law Cleveland A. Terrell.
