Mazie Will (Robinson) Nettles

On December 13, 1925, Mazie Will Robinson Nettles was born to the late Layton “Lake” Robinson and the late Laura Warren Robinson in Alamance, North Carolina; the last of 21 children. Mazie departed this life on March 22, 2020 at Hospice Home of Alamance. She was married to the late Frank Nettles whom preceded her in transition in 1986.

Mazie was a 1945 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and later attended Winston Salem Teachers College. She was a lifelong member and treasurer of White Level Primitive Baptist Church. Mazie was an unwavering giving soul that unknowingly touched many that she came in contact with.

She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Green Level Chapter #601 Order of The Eastern Star.

Mazie shared a treasured bond with Mrs. June Sellars Strader Harris, the late Elizabeth “Terri” Strader McAllister, Carol Strader Cockran, and Laura Strader Riley.

Mazie was a mother to many and leaves to cherish her many nieces Marilyn Williams (Harold), Linda Tinnin, Sandra Vaughn (Hezekiah), Vera Mebane (Douglas), Deborah Williams (Rev. James), and nephews Bobby Faucette (Lillian), Tyrone Faucette (Cherry), Celo Faucette, Nathaniel Robinson and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mazie was the last of 21 children;
