Mother Mary Delila Foust Stone was born to John Sherman Foust and Alene Mavis Holt Foust in Alamance, North Carolina on May 5, 1932. She was educated in the segregated Alamance County School System. For many years she was employed in the hotel industry. Spiritually she was a devoted member of Woods Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She served as Mother of the Church, Ushers Ministry and Missionary Society. She was married to Thomas Al Stone. She and Al shared many loving years together.
She will be remembered with love and devotion by her siblings: Nancy Mims, Dorothy Haith, Louise Foust and James Carl Foust as well a host of loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Following a brief illness, she transitioned from earth to eternal life on November 3, 2020 at her home surrounded by two of her dear sisters. She now joins her parents and loving husband as well as five siblings: Leo Foust, David Foust, Sherman Lee Foust, Virginia F. Trollinger and Shirley Foust.
