Mae Ellen (Turner) Tate Clegg Hatfield

Mae Ellen Turner Tate Clegg Hatfield was born to George and Fannie Sue Martin Turner on August 17, 1927 in Caswell County, NC. Mrs. Clegg transitioned from labor to reward on August 12, 2021 at Alamance Health Care in Burlington, NC while surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed singing around the house and in the church choir. Until her health would no longer permit her to do so she enjoyed cooking for her family and making sure her house was always clean. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ronnie Lee Tate; daughters, Betty Jean Tate, Mary T. Fuller and Linda Tate; sister, Gertrude Raymond; fourteen grandchildren, and thirty great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

Mae was preceded in death by both parents, three sons, Robert Junior Tate, Rickey Tate, and Larry Tate; one daughter, Hattie Mae Tate; brothers, Walter Turner, George Turner, Banks Turner, and Hosie Turner; sisters, Sue Harris and Martha “Sis” Watlington; grandchildren, Renaldo Tate and Arnessa Fuller.
