Lori Jean Riggins

Ms. Lori Jean Riggins 47, transitioned Monday, September 27, 2021 at Cone Health – Alamance Regional Hospital. She was born to Terry Gene Riggins and Martha Blackwell Riggins on February 23, 1974 in Alamance County.

Lori enjoyed being outdoors in the sun shine or spending some quiet time reading. She was known for her beautiful hand writing which she was spending time teaching her daughter Samantha. She loved her grandchildren (Brantley, Brayleigh, Desmond and Gabriel).  She was a people person, outgoing and always wore a smile. 
She was known for her great customer service skills.  We used to do family Sunday dinners and she’d be the person to get everyone together to make sure they were coming!  She worked diligently as a waitress in the food service industry.

Lori was survived by her daughters, Samantha Riggins, Ashlen Longberry (Devin), Kayla Riggins, Alexius Riggins; mother Martha Blackwell Riggins; brothers Samuel Riggins (Sabrina), Jason Riggins; aunt Sherry Frazier (David); uncle Dahl T. Carnes (Jane); four grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, Terry Gene Riggins; great grandparents James and Scenie Riggins and George and Lula Knight Sr; a host of aunts and uncles.
