Mrs. Linda Warren Dixson was born on July 27, 1944 to Allen Warren and Fleater Headen Warren in Alamance County, North Carolina. She was a 1962 graduate of Central High School, a 1966 graduate of North Carolina Central University and received her Master's Degree from Suffolk University, Boston, Mass. She was a reading teacher with Altamahaw-Ossipee Elementary School and retired in 2009.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Graham, North Carolina, where she served God and her church faithfully until her health would no longer allow. She served as the Senior Choir Organist, Sunday School Superintendent, member of the Steward Board and member and past officer of the Mable H. Poole Missionary and member of the Democratic Women. In her leisure, she enjoyed writing poetry and painting.
She leaves cherished memories to her loving husband: Eddie Dixson; step-children: Eddiena Albanese (James A., Jr.) and Edward David McLeod (Michelle); a devoted sister: Muriel W. Tarpley (Algene); step-brother: William "Billy" Tarpley (Ethel); brother-in-law: Arnold C. Dailey; a grandson: Terrell Dixson and an additional host of grandchildren; nieces & nephews, cousins, friends and beloved students.
She was preceded in death by a sister Mavis Warren Dailey and step mother Clara Murray Tarpley Warren.
