Lillian Torain Worth, 68, of Haw River entered her heavenly home on March 15, 2021.
Lillian was born in Alamance County on April 15, 1952. She attended Alamance Public schools including Central High. She graduated from Alamance Community College in 2001. Lillian worked for a textile mill early in her career. Later she worked in the hospitality industry and as a CNA. She was a member of Melfield United Church of Christ in Haw River, NC. “Dodo” as everyone knew her, enjoyed shopping, thrifting and interior designing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Bubbles.
She was married to Alvin Worth who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents Leroy Torain and Blythe “Babe” Woods Torain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving Aunt Ada Woods Wilson. She was one of eight siblings. She is survived by her brothers and sister Clyde Torain (Deborah) of Haw River, Catherine “Smokey” Presley of Graham, Nathanial “Peco” Torain, Ronnie “Mag” Torain and William “Tech” Torain of Graham. Earl “Chuck” Torain and Gail Riley precede her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children Brenton Torain of Haw River, Kimberly (Antonio) Currie of Graham, Takisha (Jeffrey) Davis of Elon, and Dammien Worth of Haw River; 9 grandchildren: Candice, Devontae, Joshua, Jonathan, Gabriel, Victoria, Gaven, Drekarie, Diore; 2 great grandchildren: Ayden and Hyperion; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
A private service to celebrate her life will be held at Melfield UCC on Friday March 19, 2021. The celebration will be private due to Covid-19 restrictions. The family would like cards and flowers to be sent to 299 Woodland Dr Elon, NC 27244. Also, honorary donations can be made to the Women’s Resource Center of Alamance County https://wrcac.org/
