Mrs. Lenora Brown Foust of 424 Brooklyn St. Burlington passed away on November 14, 2023 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Sampson County, North Carolina to Willie Lawrence Brown and Cecilia Torain Brown on November 13, 1937. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Melvin Foust, Sr. and the loving mother of eight children, of whom seven survive. She always supported her family at all costs and was tireless in working with Macefield Mills to make sure all of their needs were met. Following 18 years of dedicated service, she retired and enjoyed her retirement relaxing with her loving family and friends. Spiritually, she was a devoted and long-time member of St. Matthew’s African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served as a Stewardess. Her loving smile, humorous side and gentle demeanor will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves in God’s care her husband of 69 years, Joseph M. Foust, Sr.; seven children: Joseph M. Foust, Jr., Johnny Ray Foust (Geraldine), Karèn Foust Patterson, Cheryl Lynn Foust Herbin, Harold Lee Foust “Bunch”, David Anthony Foust, Sr. (Georgia "Jo") and Larry Donnell Foust (Cheri); 16 grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She now joins in her passing her parents, William Lawrence Brown and Cecilia Torain Brown, an infant child, Jalan Foust and her siblings: Henry Brown, Van Brown, Elzina Brown and Genevie Brown.
