Lauthlia (Thompson) Presley "Sisie"

Lauthlia Thompson Presley was born in Graham, North Carolina to the late Charles Thompson and Alice Woods on January 23, 1951. She was reared by a loving and caring stepfather, Milton Lamberth.  Lauthlia, affectionately known as "Sisie" transitioned peacefully on Tuesday May 9, 2023, at the Authora Care Collective- Hospice House in Burlington, North Carolina.

"Sisie" received her education in the Alamance County Public School System. "Sisie" retired after 30 years of dedicated service from Kayser-Roth Corporation. She was also employed at Always Homecare for 15 years.

"Sisie" was a devoted member of Melfield United Church of Christ, Haw River, North Carolina for many years until the needs of physically-challenged son, Michael required 24 hour care. She found that it was necessary to attend to his needs daily and was unable to attend services regularly. Nevertheless, "Sisie" continued to pray steadfastly for the family church she loved so dearly. 

"Sisie" committed her life years ago to taking care of others. Caregiving was in her blood. "Sisie" enjoyed spending time with her family. As a mother, Sisie’s incredible love and powerful arm of protection for her daughter, Tanesha is and will ALWAYS be immeasurable. As a grandmother, "Sisie" became very involved in the lives of her granddaughters, Chandra and Keyonna providing a home and unconditional love. “Sisie” had a HUGE heart and an extraordinary bond with her oldest son Fabian. A son who loves at ALL times will take the responsibility of leadership in his mother's life. Fabian fully supported "Sisie" until her transition with RESPECT of ALL her needs and is found to be what he was raised to be, a faithful man of source. 

"Sisie" loved watching horror movies and murder mysteries. In her quiet time, she enjoyed using her gift of sewing to make clothes for friends and family. "Sisie" lived a life of love and was an inspiration to us all.

"Sisie" is survived by two sons, Fabian Thompson, Haw River, North Carolina, Michael Presley Jr, Snow Camp, North Carolina. Daughter, Tanesa Presley, Snow Camp, North Carolina. Grandchildren, Chandra and Keyonna Presley, Snow Camp, North Carolina.  Special cousin/sister, Ms. Savannah Rodgers. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sisie was preceded in death by her parents and step farther, Charles Thompson, Milton and Alice Woods Lamberth.
