Ms. Laura Denise Carr of 316 Apple St. Burlington transitioned on July 25, 2023, at her residence. She was the daughter of Mr. Robert Carr and Mrs. Ada Mae Roberts Carr Hightower. Laura was born in Alamance County on April 5, 1964, and was educated in the Alamance-Burlington School System. She was a faithful member of Miracle Temple Church on Apple Street where she used her talents to serve the Lord as a member of the choir, Finance Committee and she did the morning announcements.
Her life and legacy will be forever cherished by those that knew and loved her.
She is survived by a daughter, Claressa Carr; two sons, Josea Daye Jr. and his wife, Tamisha; and Emmanuel Dark; fiancé', Marvin Long; ten grandchildren; Adaniel Brooks, Italy Carr, London Carr, Speshell Carr, Jordyn Daye, Harmoney Dark, Emmanuel Dark, Jr., Cy'er Burnette, Lily Burnette and Nalayli Dark and one great-grandchild: Gohan Brooks; four brothers: Alvin Carr, Andy Shane Roberts, Mike Roberts and Tandy Carr; a sister: Lisa Clark as well as a host of other family members and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Ada Carr Hightower.
