Mr. Kenneth Carter 77, of 2422 Pa Will Trail, Burlington, NC entered eternal rest on March 20, 2022, at AuthoraCare Hospice Home in Burlington, NC. He was born to Alfred Carter and Martha Green Carter on April 8, 1944, in Alamance County.
Ken was a 1962 graduate of Central High School in Graham, North Carolina. Kenneth was a faithful and dedicated member of Elon First Baptist Church in Elon, NC where he worked diligently in the ministry as a member of the Trustee Board and the Usher Board. In his earlier years Kenneth served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after years of dedicated service. He was a dedicated and valued employee of Lucent Technologies, from which he retired. Until his health would no longer allow him to, Kenneth enjoyed long peaceful rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, fishing, and hunting when time would allow.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 54 beautiful years, Hazel Ireland Carter; son, Rod Carter; daughter, Rhonda Neal (Cory); sister, Dorothy Carter Turner; grandchildren, Keilan Neal, Kamron Neal, De’Markus Mims, De’Siah Mims; sister-in-laws, Doris Carter, Frances Mitchell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Martha Carter; brother, Elvin Kelly Carter; brother, William Carter Sr. aka “Butch" and his wife, Betty Carter
