Katherine Elizabeth (Bolden) Daye

Mrs. Katherine Daye was born in Reidsville, NC to the late Mr. Quill Bolden and Mrs. Lessie Brown Bolden Boswell and she was the wife of the late Mr. John Menice Daye.

She was a graduate of Jordan Sellars High School and  the Surgical Instrument Nurse School in Chicago, ILL.  She worked at the Alamance County Hospital as the Operation Room Surgical Instrument Nurse for 42 years.

Mrs. Daye was a member of Ebenezer UCC on Apple St. where she served in many capacities, when her health allowed as Chair of the Women’s Day Committee and a member of the Awareness Ministry.

Katherine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughter of ISIS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, James Daye and brother, Robert Bolden.

The life and legacy of Mrs. Daye will be forever cherished in the hearts of her children, Reginald Daye, John Daye and Lessie Bonita Mebane; grandchildren, Dekova Daye-Corbett, Shakira Bowers, Shari Daye, John T Daye, Jazmine Mebane, Tisha Daye and Kejuan Graves and 7 great grandchildren with a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
