Joe Louis Moore

Joe Louis Moore, died peacefully in the Hospice Home on Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Burlington, NC at the age of 85. He passed in the early morning surrounded by his longtime caregivers; his loving niece Wanda Moore, grandniece Melanie Wiley, and family dog Axon. 

Joe Louise Moore is survived by one nephew, Thomas Lee Moore of Monterey, VA; three nieces, Annette C. Moore of Middleburg Heights, OH, Wanda G. Moore of Burlington, NC, Jacqueline Moore Piercy of Durham, NC; and host of cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Rev James T. Moore, Worth D. Moore Jr. and Jack Moore.

Joe Louise Moore was born on September 25, 1935 in Alamance County to Worth D. Moore Sr. and Emma Slade Moore. He grew up in Clover Garden and enjoyed farming and chewing tobacco. He loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of Clover Garden AME Church. He spent the last 8 years in Springview Assisted Living, where he was beloved and cherished by the staff and residents.
