Jean Carol Leath was born August 9, 1958 in Alamance County, North Carolina to Monroe L. Leath and Helen Haith Leath. Jean was educated within the Alamance County School Systems and was a graduate of Eastern-Alamance High School Class of 1978.
She had a career in food service management that spanned over several decades and various counties in North Carolina. She was a dedcated member of Glen Raven First Baptist Church. Under the leadership of Rev. Joe David Miles III, she served on the Pastor's Aid Committee as well as the Usher Board. She served her church in any capacity requested for as long as her health could sustain. Jean had a lifelong passion for culinary services. She often catered, shared knowledge and experiences and was always willing to help others. Jean's quiet and loving nature will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memories: three brothers, Joel Leath (Eleanor) of Burlington, Ronald "Ron" Leath (Katherine) of Graham, Michael Anthony Leath (Brenda) of Burlington, two sisters, Cheryl Leath Shaw (Herman) of Burlington and Tina Leath Miles also of Burlington; Three best friends, Kathy Ross, Ms. Jean Miles and Ronald "Woody" Woodson an aunt: Sylvia Haith; two uncles: Alonza Leath and Gary Jeffries as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mr. Monroe L. Leath and Mrs. Helen Haith Leath.
