Janie Luella (Marshall) Anderson

Mrs. Janie Luella Marshall Anderson 79, of Whitsett, North Carolina transitioned from labor to reward on November 2, 2023, at Cone Health – Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. She was born to Maxie William Marshall and Geneva Patterson Marshall on May 6, 1944, in Harnett County.  Janie was married to the late John Wesley Anderson.  

She joined and served the ministry of Faith Harvest Church Ministries. She was a dedicated mother and wife who loved taking care of her husband and son, she enjoyed cooking and canning.   Janie worked for many years in the Spinning Department of Glen Raven Mills.

Janie is survived by her daughter, Wendy Anderson, brothers, Walter Marshall, Joe Marshall, Elijah Marshall; sisters, Queen Ester Neal, Ex-Theail Lee, Delois Young (Wilbur), Celestyne Hanner (Bobby), Dorcas Leath, Naomi Boyd (Kevin), Sharon Sullivan (William) along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Anderson, her parents, Maxie and Geneva Marshall; son, Wesley Anderson; brothers, Charles Marshall, Nathaniel Marshall, Calvin Marshall, Obedia Marshall, John Marshall; sisters, Beatrice Blackmon and Deborah Miles.
