Mr. Jackie Donald Williamson, son of SGT. Hubert Clayton Williamson (Ret.) and Novella Jeffries Williamson passed into eternal life on August 29, 2023. He was a graduate of Jordan-Sellars High School and was a life-long Professional Logistics Driver. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Linda Griffis Williamson; three children: Antonio D. "Tony" Williamson, Mario L. Williamson and Tiffany D. Williamson-Moore (Tommie); his twin brother and team driver: Jerry R. Williamson (Brenda); 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren and their family; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, dear cousins, friends and fellow Truck drivers.
He was a member of Queens Chapel A.M.E Church where at one time he sung in the male chorus. He was a professional truck driver for over 50 years, currently employed with Carolina Tank Lines. Jackie was a 49'ers football fan, and during his years at Jordan Sellars High School until graduation in 1963 he played football and baseball. For many years you would find him and his brother on baseball fields continuing to play the game they loved. His favorite past time was spending time with his family, which included his high school sweetheart, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, that twin brother of his, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, SGT. Hubert Clayton Williamson (Ret.) and Novella Jeffries Williamson and a son Brett A. Williamson.
