Mr. Henry Louis Riley was born in Orange County, NC on July 9, 1931 to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Minervia Cousin Riley.

Henry was educated in the Orange County public school system. His highlights were playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. Henry joined Hunter’s Chapel A.M.E. church as a young child and spent his entire life in service to his church. Henry served on many boards at the church such as the Usher Board (He ushered every Sunday), Trustee, Custodian and took care of the lawn. He was a Mason for many years even carried the title of “Man of the year”.
Henry had an infectious smile, a humble spirit and loveable arms for all children. He enjoyed a hearty plate of good food; you could find him at “Tommy’s” on any given day.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his niece Minervia M. Riley of the home in which she was his caretaker for 30 years along with three in-laws and a host of nieces and nephews.
A special Thanks to Paige and Nate Anderson, Hospice Home of Alamance County, Angelia Swann and Leroy and Marie Stevens.
