Helen Elizabeth Torain

Helen Elizabeth Torain was a caring, loving, and strong mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Helen was born April 29, 1937 in Alamance County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late William Monroe Torain and the late Margaret Stone Torain. She departed this earth on July 25, 2021 in Newark, New Jersey.

Helen was proceeded in death by her brother, William Torain Jr. and sister Dorothy Lewis Torain. 

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Jesse Torain; daughters, Joanna Torain, Sandra Torain, Angela Torain, Catherine (Khadijah) Torain, and Lenora Kee; grandchildren, Rabiah Duncan, Tatiana Paige,  Qulimah Muhammah-Torain,  Azhane Holston, Jamar Clark, Samal Mayes, Fatir Ellison, Dwayne Duncan; great-grandchildren, Skylar Duncan, Maxwell Duncan, Fatir Ellison, Jr., Javonni Clark Samaya Mayes & Brandon Mayes; six nieces, six great nieces, ten great-nephews, six great-great nieces, eight great-great nephews; and a host of family and friends.
