Hallie Mae Bigelow Long was born on October 28, 1928 as the daughter of Joseph Bigelow and Naomi Yancey Wright in Alamance County, North Carolina.
She was the wife of the late James Freeman Long. She was a domestic worker for many years and she was loved by her families. She loved fishing, reading, family vacations to the beach, watching SYFY movies and drinking coffee. She was a member of Visitor's Chapel Christian Church. Mrs. Long was a dedicated and loving mother to her family.
She leaves her love to her seven children: Alesa F. Long, Robin F. Long, Tommie B. Long "Little Bro", Thomas A. Long "Big Bro”, Stoney R. Long, James L. Long and Louis W. Long; two sisters: Mary Delois Bigelow and Faye Bigelow; 14 grandchildren: Elaine Moore, Yvette Moore, Alexis Latta, Anthony Long, Tyson Long, Areale Long, Shamekia Long, Jazmin L. Long, Shonette Springfield, Anton Springfield, Louis M. Long, Jaalen Long, Devonte Long and Angie Clapp; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Katie Bryant Long, Emma Long, Addie Long and Helen Long as well as several devoted loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents: three children: James Long, Barbara Long and Sherrye Long as well as five siblings: Almeta Best, Parthena Bigelow White, Christine Bigelow, Joe Eddie Bigelow and William Bigelow “Lightning”.
