Mrs. Gloria Delle Harris Williamson 79, of 2712 Culberson Lane, Haw River, North Carolina transitioned from Labor to reward on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Cone Health – Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born to Irvin Harris Sr. and Mary Edna Compton Harris Calhoun on September 26, 1942 in Alamance County.
Gloria was an active member of the Melfield United Christian Church where she worked diligently with the kitchen ministry, Christian Women’s Fellowship and the Social Committee. She worked with the Graham Civic Center for the better part of eight years feeding Civil Service Workers. Gloria also loved planting flowers and cooking for her family. She was employed with Culp Inc. a textile company in the area.
Gloria’s legacy will always be remembered by her loving and dedicated husband Azell Dalton Williamson, sons, Carlos Capri Stokes (Delois), James “Michael” Stokes, Darian Todd Stokes; daughters, Charmette Sonja Stokes, Jarrette Jolanda Hatchett (Fredrick), Akitola Franchesska Williamson; brothers, John Robert Harris, James Calhoun, Charles Thomas Calhoun; sisters, Emma Harris Rogers (George), Sharon Calhoun, Marilyn Calhoun, Brenda Calhoun, Diane Calhoun, Linda Calhoun; 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Irvin Harris Sr. and Mary Edna Compton Harris Calhoun, son Obie Lee Stokes III, brothers, Lawrence Calhoun, William Perry Harris, Irvin Harris Jr., sisters Crystal Calhoun, Willa R. Calhoun, Shirley Harris Graves and two grandchildren.
