Obituary

Ms. Gloria Jean Curry 75, of Burlington, NC, entered eternal rest on March 29, 2022, at Liberty Commons, in Burlington, NC. She was born to the late Mr. Charlie Curry and Mrs. Elizabeth Richmond Curry on August 1, 1946, in Alamance County.

Ms. Gloria Jean was kind, loving, and would give her last to help anyone. Her smile was contagious, and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms. Gloria Jean loved to shop and travel — if you said let's go, she was ready. She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church of Burlington. She retired from Ralph Scott Life Services after over a decade of service. 

Ms. Gloria Jean is survived by her loving family; son, Calvin Curry (Theresa), daughter, Teresa Curry-Lea; brother,Jimmie Curry (Peggy); sisters, Wythenia Burnette and Debra Curry; five grandchildren, Morgan Curry, Cameron Curry, Noah Lea, Kent Miles (Stacia), Jamar Miles (Andrea) and; two great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her devoted companion, Donald Wayne Reaves; brothers, Leon "LD" Curry, Calvin "Kirt" Curry, and Donnell Curry; sister, Nellie C. Kirkpatrick.
