Gladys "Teenie" Inez (Bethel) Vaughn

Mrs. Gladys Bethel Vaughn of 1210 Westmoreland Dr. Burlington transitioned from her labor here on earth to her Heavenly reward on Friday morning November 11, 2022.  Mrs. Vaughn was born in Alamance County, NC to Mr. Glennie Bethel, Sr. and Mrs. Maggie Gunn Bethel.  Mrs. Vaughn was lovingly referred to by many as Mrs. "Teenie" or "Rudy".

Mrs. "Teenie" was a graduate of Jordan Sellars High School and a faithful member of Ebenezer UCC, where she served and worship as a member of the choir and  a Missionary.  She was married to the late Mr. Walter Vaughn and this union was blessed with two sons, Walter "Duke" Clifford Vaughn and Gary "Luppy" Lamar Vaughn.

Her smile, life and legacy will be forever cherished by her son, Walter "Duke" Vaughn; sister, Vinna Mae Bethel; 2 grandchildren, Monica Vaughn Nelson, Toyia Vaughn Elstak (Everette I); 4 great grandchildren, Essence Vaughn, Moriah Nelson, Everette Elstak II and Eva Elstak along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Mrs. "Teenie" was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Glennie & Mrs. Maggie Bethel, Sr.; her husband, Walter Vaughn; son, Gary "Luppy" Vaughn and two brothers, James Bethel and Glennie Bethel, Jr.
