Mrs. Gladys Beasley Chrisp was called from labor to reward at the blessed age of 101 years. The Lord dispatched his angels on Saturday evening, July 24, 2021 at 6:10pm to 734 Chandler Ave. Burlington to reclaim one of his own. Mrs. Chrisp was the daughter of Mr. Hayes Beasley and Mrs. Maggie Stewart Beasley born in Alamance County on May 22, 1920. Mrs. Gladys was married to Mr. Roosevelt Chrisp.
Mrs. Chrisp was a faithful member of Union Chapel UCC, she served on the Senior Usher Board and was member of the Pastor's Aid Committee until her health decline. In her community she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was employed for over 22 years with One Hour Professional Cleaners.
The life and legacy of Mrs. Gladys Beasley Chrisp will be forever cherished by her daughter, Selma "Sadie" Briggs (Cliff); three grandsons, Michael Chrisp, Maurice Chrisp (Brenda) and Daimon Briggs; five great grandchildren, Natasha Chrisp, Dontae Williamson, Michael Chrisp II, Whitney Chrisp and Kiana Chrisp; Seven great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Special thanks to her caregivers, Ms. Bridgette Wilson and Ms. Elaine McGhee.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents, her son, Roosevelt "Pudding" Chrisp, Jr.; two daughters, Helen Chrisp and Beatrice Chrisp; one daughter-in-law, Betty Cameron Chrisp; two granddaughters, Sharon Chrisp Williamson and Gail Chrisp; two brothers, James "Jim" Beasley and Charlie Beasley; four sisters, Clara B. Morgan, Edith Beasley, Lula B. Paul and Frances B. McCloud.
