Mrs. Gertie Mae Williams Grice 71, of 613 Whitsett Street, Graham, NC transitioned on July 11, 2022 at Springview Assistance Living Facility in Graham, NC. Gertie was the sixth child born to James McLaurin and Elnora Williams Bethea.
She was married to James A Grice and from this union three children were born. She spent most of her adult life in New York and relocated back to North Carolina with her husband. Gertie loved to dance and loved good food.
She is survived by her son, Frederick Williams and a sister, Margaret Simmons.
Gertie was preceded in death by her husband, James Grice; daughter, Shonta Williams; son, Lacy Williams; parents, James McLauren and Elnora Williams Bethea; brother, Willie Lee Williams; sisters, Ethel McCray and Dorothy Williams.
