On July 26, 2021 around 1:04pm, Our Heavenly Father dispatched an Angel to receive Sister Frances Marie Howard Miles from her labor to her reward.
Sister Frances was born in Alamance County, NC on March 3, 1939 and was raised by her paternal grandmother, the late Mrs. Hattie Bradsher. She was a 1957 graduate of Pleasant Grove Union High School and spent most of her life caring for those that could not care for themselves, especially children and the elderly all over the community.
Sister Frances Miles was a member of Gant Town Baptist Church where she served as First Lady, Mother of the church, Choir member and sometime as the entire choir. Where-ever needed she was there to fill in the gab. Sister Frances song for over 20years in the Miles Family Singing Group. Her sweet spirit and loving heart was felt throughout the entire community. Sister Frances was a God Mother to so many. Her presence will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Her life and legacy will be cherished by the Love of her life for over 63 years, her husband, Rev. Bobby Louis Miles, Sr; her children, Vick Miles (Cynthia), Rev. Bobby Louis. Miles, Jr., Jody M. Whitfield (Tyrone), Charlie Miles, Kevin Miles (Lillian) and Phyllis M. Briggs (Darnell); 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Arlington “Bo” Parks (Delores “Dee”), and Edward Parks (Dealdria); one sister, Cheryl Long (Billy) and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. Special friend, Deborah Snipes.
Sister Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Howard and Lottie Mae Paige; grandparents, siblings, Frankie Parks, Clovenia “Tammy” Jones and Eula “Vera” Paige Aiken.
