Frances (Bradshaw) Carter

Frances E. Carter was born June 1, 1926 in Orange County, NC and left this life on earth to go home with the Lord on November 15, 2021. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Edward Carter, her parents Charlie Bradshaw and Essie Poteat Bradshaw and four brothers: Leroy Bradshaw (Addie Ruth), Simon Bradshaw (Currie), Hulon Bradshaw (Lizzie), Marvin Bradshaw (Magerlene) and a step mother, Mrs. Magerlene Van Hook Bradshaw. 

After graduating from Orange County High School, Frances married Edward Carter from Green Level.  From their  marriage, they had four children: Mary Frances Carter Speight (Nathaniel), Essie Carolyn Carter Harris (Claybon - deceased), Sarah Ann Carter Coleman (Virgil) and Charlie Edward Carter;  two grandsons, Nathan Ryan Speight (Bella), and Jonathan Alan Speight;  two great grandchildren, Grayson Hunter and Nia Ryan Speight;  one step grandson, Claybon Harris Jr, a step granddaughter Demetrius Harris; step great grandchildren, India Harris, Fatimah Weaver (deceased) and Anthony Weaver;  one great-great step grandchild, Ayanna Weaver. Mom had a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who gave her joy with their calls, encouragements and words of appreciation.
