Evangelist Doris Jackson transitioned peacefully at her home on April 13, 2021. She was the daughter of Mr. Kelly Hall and Mrs. Maggie Oden Hall. Evangelist Jackson was married to the love of her life the late Mr. Willie Earl Jackson Sr.. She was born in Alabama, later moved to New York where she worked as a machine operator for over 20years.
Evangelist Doris Jackson attended and served Zion Gospel Church in Copiague, NY under the leadership of Mother Christine Gomez. Doris served Zion Gospel Church for over 20 years. She was very active in the church and served in various departments as an usher, in the choir, pastor aide president, missionary, and Sunday school teacher. Doris was ordained as an evangelist. She was truly a worker for her church working faithfully in whatever capacity she could. Evangelist Doris Jackson also attended Circle of Love Ministry in Copiague, NY under the leadership of Rev. Roy Kirton. She served in Circle of Love in the prison ministry, pastor aide president, devotion leader, missionary and evangelist work.
Evangelist Doris Jackson moved to North Carolina in 2005 where she found her current church New Covenant United Holy Church under the leadership of Bishop Harry Cohen. Doris served as a mother in her current church. She loved going to New Covenant Church.
Evangelist Jackson is survived by her three daughters Theresa Barham, Reneè Jackson and Dolly Jackson. Two sons Willie E. Jackson Jr. and Eric Jackson. One brother Calvin Hall (Mary) and sister, Mattie Hall along with two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Willie Earl Jackson Sr.; one daughter Edna Jackson; five sisters Shirley Martin, Clarice Pettys, Maggie Pearl Hall, Annie Jackson and Margaret Godwin and one brother, Kelly Hall, Jr..
