Ervin Farmer, Jr. better known as “Junior” or “Bug” passed away peacefully at his home in Danville, Virginia on January 9, 2024. Ervin was born in South Boston, Virginia to his loving parents Ervin Farmer, Sr. and Janie Pyles Farmer. Ervin graduated in 1985 from Tunstall High School, Dry Fork, Virginia. He joined River Zion Baptist Church at an early age.
Ervin began his employment career with Burlington Industries of Burlington, North Carolina and then moved to Columbia Forest Products located in Chatham, Virginia. Ervin’s employment career ended at the Roman Eagle Nursing Home, Danville, Virginia as a result of his declining health.
Ervin loved spending time fishing, watching television and hanging out with his friends at Shadowood Mart.
Ervin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Randolph and Hattie Farmer and his maternal grandparents: Jessie and Dorothy Pyles.
He leaves to cherish loving and lasting memories to his parents: Ervin Farmer, Sr. and Janie Pyles Farmer of Danville, Virginia; two brothers: Larry Farmer (Carla) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Tommy Farmer of Danville, Virginia; a nephew: Devon Boone; a niece: Asiah Farmer both of Winston Salem, North Carolina and a great-niece: Nayla Farmer. He also leaves loving memories to a host of aunts, cousins and dear friends.
